Becoming a Member

Egyptian Freemasonry welcomes individuals of all genders, social backgrounds, and professions. Dispelling common misconceptions, Freemasonry is not an exclusive society but rather a brotherhood and sisterhood that embraces sincere people from all walks of life.

If you are considering joining the Rite of Memphis-Misraim, it is essential to reflect on your motivations. By examining what motivates you, you will be better prepared to request membership to our Lodge.

It is important that you are able to pay the yearly contribution (£170 pa) and that you have the time to attend our meetings on a regular basis, to engage in personal study and daily practice.

To become a Freemason, you must be at least 21 years of age. During the admission process, you will be evaluated by three Brothers/Sisters who must demonstrate your qualifications within the Lodge.

If I am an existing Mason can I join?

Candidates whose applications are approved will be required to complete the necessary joining documentation and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This undertaking protects the privacy of the Rite, safeguards the identities of Members who prefer to keep their membership discreet, preserves the confidentiality of its Rituals, Teachings, and Initiatic Transmissions, and ensures the security and integrity of its Work.
